Bike New York, a.k.a. the "Five Boro Bike Tour," is a 42-mile bike ride ("It's not a race!") through New York City's five boros: Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. Along the way, participants get to ride their bikes on roads normally off-limits (such as FDR Drive, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge). The ride ends in Staten Island, and riders take the ferry back to Manhattan. To say the ride is scenic would be an obvious understatement!
