Snow at Sunrise!
Winter has arrived. We received our first big dump of snow yesterday, and this morning I awoke to this beautiful view. I might be less excited in a half-hour, when I try to drive to work on icy roads. And my excitement will probably wear off by January, when this becomes the norm. But for now, I'm loving it!

Hun... while that may be a "big dump" of snow for you... it is NOTHING compared to what you will see. I am sure CJ can attest to the fact you will see MUCH more before April....
Well, "big dump" = "artistic license." Obviously, it wasn't a lot of snow.... But to a California boy, any amount that stays, doesn't melt right away, is a novelty....
Well do not feel so lonely in cold and snowy VA. It was 26.4 degrees this morning in Escondido! Nice pix Michael!
A "dump" is when you open the door and see nothing but a wall of snow. So you take shovel, carefully push out a cave in the snow, close the door behind you and start shoveling until you see daylight. The biggest dump I remember as a child in Buffalo was 6 ft. in one day. But since then (two years ago) Buffalo broke their own record getting 7 ft. in one day just before Thanksgiving. Dad
P.S. Why do you think I love california so much. Dad
